The Chair AM2 is the offspring of the historic armchair by Sirigos Furniture, offering a renewed interpretation of traditional Greek woodworking through a contemporary lens.

The chair brings together two materials often perceived as adversaries — wood and metal — establishing a refined dialogue between a handcrafted wooden frame and a precisely formed sheet of stainless steel. The metal replaces the conventional cushion support structure, revealing its structural role and material integrity while enabling a slender and controlled construction.

The composition of Chair AM2 is defined by strict geometry and balanced proportions. The joints and fine sections of the wooden frame express a clear sense of craftsmanship, where each detail is articulated with precision, revealing the essence of the craft that shapes it.

Designed without unnecessary reinforcements, Chair AM2 allows wood and metal to coexist in structural and aesthetic harmony, exposing the inherent qualities of each material.

Chair AM2 was designed as part of the event “A Century and a Year” by Sirigos Deluxe Furniture and was presented within the exhibition celebrating the 100-year anniversary of the Sirigos Company.

The chair was produced in a limited edition of three unique pieces.
